Shortly before 11:00am on 25 February 2008, Bus 914, a Belconnen-based Renault PR100.2 Mk2 was operating Route 44 along Beaurepaire Crescent in Holt when it left the road, colliding with a tree and electrical substation.
Driver and father of three Tony was pinned to the bus by the steering wheel for around half an hour before being cut free and taken to hospital with minor injuries. The only passenger on the bus escaped via the rear window and was unharmed.
914 was towed to Belconnen Depot where it was subsequently stripped of useful parts before being disposed for scrap in April 2009.
