The Featured Bus for September/October 2016 is Bus 675 – a Renault PR100.2 (Mk1)

Bus 675 was a Renault/MACK PR100.2 (Mk1) with body by Ansair Tullamarine, which entered service at Kingston Depot in late April 1987.

It was the first bus of what would be 258 Renault PR100.2 buses ordered by ACTION – the largest ever single-model bus order made by Canberra.

The PR100.2 was chosen for Canberra after an evaluation of several possible models including Leyland Lynx B50 and Scania BR112H, as well as the existing Mercedes-Benz O.305 buses.

Bus 675 was withdrawn from service in May 2000. The last PR100.2 Mk1 (Bus 853) was withdrawn fifteen years later in July 2015.
