Bus 147 operating the free City Loop

Between May 1997 and February 1998, ACTION took delivery of 25 Dennis Dart SLF "midi" buses, with bodies built by Robert Wright & Son of Ballymena, Northern Ireland. The buses seated 27 people with a single wheelchair space and were the first dedicated low-floor buses in the fleet.

With the delivery of full-sized low floor buses commencing in 2004, the Darts’ usefulness gradually declined with some vehicles being withdrawn from service commencing in 2012.

Now, only six Darts are active in the fleet – all of these buses operate the free City Loop service and are based at Belconnen Depot.

About Us

ACT Bus Fleetwiki is the most comprehensive source of ACTION Buses fleet information. Our information is presented in a number of ways: summary tables, lists and individual vehicle pages - which include a photograph and additional information. Articles are linked together through categories so that you can find all vehicles that fit certain criteria.

How to search: Enter the vehicle you are searching for into the search box in the format of "BUS 350" (where 350 is the fleet number). Since many fleet numbers have been re-used, a sequence number will be included for each time the number has been used (e.g. BUS 350 (2) ). You can also browse through the pages and categories above.

How to submit changes: Edit access has been restricted to protect the integrity of our data. If you would like to notify us of a change or an error, please use our Contact Us webpage.

Now, only six Darts are active in the fleet – all of these buses operate the free City Loop service and are based at Belconnen Depot.
