When the Tuggeranong Town Centre was first settled, Buses picked up and set down passengers on Anketell Street outside the Hyperdome.
The Tuggeranong Bus Station was opened on 9 August 1991. It was built into the existing Pitman St that ran alongside the Myer side of the Tuggeranong Hyperdome.
Although it was originally a bus station, for many years it has been referred to as Tuggeranong Interchange on all timetable and mapping from ACTION. As of November 15 2010 all interchanges have been renamed to Bus Stations.
