ACTION’s Tuggeranong Depot is located in the suburb of Greenway, with the main entrance located on Scollay Street and another entrance at the rear of the workshops on Reed Street.

Stage one of the complex was opened on 4 September 1989, with a capacity of 120 buses. (Stage two was completed by 1990 increasing the capacity to 200 buses.) The completed depot includes a bus wash, tennis court, gymnasium, workshops, diesel and compressed natural gas fuelling and driver amenities.

At the time, ACTION had hoped that the design of the Tuggeranong Depot would be the template for their next depot, which was planned for the Ginninderra/Gungahlin area in the late 1990s.

A separate building within the depot grounds became home to the ACTION Head Office. In the 2000s these functions were co-located with the Territory and Municipal Services directorate in Canberra City, and Medicare instead leased this building. However, ACTION has since resumed occupancy of this building which now houses the Communications Centre and other administrative functions.

The Lost Property office for ACTION Buses is also located at Tuggeranong Depot.

As of May 2021, Tuggeranong Depot features buses from every make in the ACTION Fleet, excluding Irisbus Agora Lines, of which all nineteen are located at Belconnen. Tuggeranong is the only depot with Compressed Natural Gas fuelling facilities, so all of the CNG fleet are housed here. It has also previously been home to ACTION’s trial plug-in electric buses.
