  • It was delivered on 20 May 1974.
  • This was the first ACTION bus to be bodied by Smithfield Bus & Coachworks, who acquired the bus body designs from the defunct Comeng Vehicle Industries (CVI).
  • Bus 229 was the first of 20 Smithfield-bodied AEC Swifts delivered from 1974 to 1975.
  • After leaving ACTION it operated for Hopkinsons NSW, registered as MO 5667
  • It later operated for Saints/Peakhurst Coaches NSW, registered as MO 5166.
