- It was first registered on 1 May 1963
- The immediate prior bus (in service order) was BUS 015 (4), a Freighter-bodied Leyland Leopard L1 which entered service in 1962.
- This vehicle was the sole ComEng-bodied Leyland Leopard L1 in the Canberra fleet. (Subsequent Leyland Leopards were the PSU3/1R series.)
