On the subject of Virgin livery, I spotted one of theirs in a light blue livery in Melbourne yesterday - what's the story with that one?

That is 737-700 VH-VBY, I have wanted a picture of it for ages. It was their 50th aircraft and wears the blue livery to commemorate that. I believe it has the name of every employee on the inside.

Ah. I would've taken a shot myself but I couldn't get a decent angle. We were in a queue for takeoff and it was first, with a Rex jet behind it and another Qantas jet behind us.
