There is now a permanent mask mandate at Canberra Airport; any person entering the terminal must be wearing a fitted face mask at all times. This is expected to be expanded to other locations in the ACT within the near future.

Its not a permanent mandate, it is a temporary measure inline with the National Cabinet decision that all travellers on domestic flights must wear masks from entry to exit of the terminal and throughout the flight. It is not expected to be rolled out anywhere else in the ACT....

Again more hysterics. Mask wearing in airports and planes is a federal mandate, nationwide. It won't be expanded to other locations within the ACT in the near future either.

You will only see that happen if there is a major outbreak in the ACT which is not likely anytime soon.

I carry a mask with me where ever I go just in case and only use it while riding Taxis, if the air in a bus is toxic or when someone in front of me went a little over the top with applying their deodorant. Still though, it's unnecessary to be hyping about mandatory use throughout the ACT at the moment - let's just wait until we get an outbreak before we start getting all hysterical about it.
