Bus 400

The Bus Preservation Society of Western Australia have a shed out at Whiteman Park & restore old TransPerth/MTT buses to their former glory. Below is a selection of photos from a day they were open. More photos can be found at http://s611.photobucket.com/albums/tt193/Bus400/Bus%20Preservation%20Society%20of%20WA/

ECOBUS 2 is a Mercedes Benz Citaro O530BZ & was one of the 2/3 Hydrogen Cell buses that Perth had as a part of a worldwide trial. These buses are weird as it is a low floor through out & wheelchair access was from the rear doors.

This is a former Leyland bus

ex MTT Tow Truck

Bus 890-Leyland Lion PSR11 used by WA Government Railways

Bus 339-Mercedes Benz O305 bought & restored by a BPSWA Member.

Some magnificent vehicles in their collection, thanks for the photos.

I didn't realise they had one of the Hydrogen Mercs in their collection!

2 years ago, all the Ecobuses were being stored at a TransPerth depot (in a special shed-which was when I first saw inside). I have a feeling they may of acquired Ecobus 2 this year.

Yep, they obtained ecobus 2 mid 2009, Ecobus 1 and 3 were scrapped

That's a shame, but having one preserved is better than none!

There isn't  a need to preserve them all, I dare say this one will be well looked after.
