Title: Air-Con problems on the gassies
Post by: Bus 400 on June 10, 2009, 09:52:30 PM
Apparently the air con units in a few of the gas buses are not working. I know that a driver I hang with has had the temp in the bus drop to 14 degrees at 18:00. I felt it tonight & the temp thing is programmed for 22, but the internal temp is around 14 & outside is a balmy 7 at the time. A few other drivers have apparently complained & management are trying to see if all drivers have had this problem.

I noticed that the temp in the bus was all right from Fraser Terminus to City. But it started to feel bloody cold in the bus from the start of Adelaide Avenue & got even worse as we crossed over Lake Tuggeranong. But luckily that shift was over & within 10 minutes I was in my nice warm(er) car heading home. I should mention that the problem bus today was 360.

I know the driver who is accessing the problem. I will ask him more about it next time I speak to him.

The air-con units on some Iris' permanently don't work, but that's the fault of Thermo-King.
