Title: Alinga St Canberra House
Post by: vnguyen on September 12, 2014, 03:11:06 PM
The bus stop has now been moved where the taxi rank used to be. I'm guessing the whole strip is a bus stop to avoid crowding of buses especially during peak hours.

that's an excellent idea, that stop gets extremely busy at peak hours, especially during afternoon peak. now let's see where they put the taxi rank

There used to be a rank on Rudd St near Jolimont which was moved around the corner to Moore St when the bike path went in.

By the looks of it, the Alinga St rank won't be relocated since the new Moore St rank is nearby.

(PS about f'ing time this was done.)

you're damn right about that, i think some drivers quite often have to ignore the taxi rank sign and drive straight into the rank so the 5 buses behind it can stop, and sometimes make it around the bend...  >:(
