Motorcyclist first road death of 2010 in ACT

The ACT has recorded the first road death of 2010 after a motorcyclist in his 30s died in a crash at Amaroo last night.

Police said the man died after his motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Katherine Avenue and Horse Park Drive.

Police and emergency services, including intensive-care paramedics, were called  to the crash just before 9pm.

The man died at  Calvary Hospital where he was taken with critical injuries.

Police are investigating the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
