Last year TCCS signed a contract with Wales Bus & Body Repair (in Sydney) for ongoing bus floor repairs.

Irisbuses, Scania L94s and MAN 18.310 CNGs, as listed below, have had their floors re-laid. The NO STANDING AREA at the front and rear doors and the wheelchair bays are the most noticeable areas where the change has taken place.

Buses known to have received new floors are:

To further complicate matters - remember back in 2016 when one modesty panel was removed from the Scania L94s due to lack of legroom?

Seats on the off side are closer to the longitudinal flip up seats from memory, so the little legroom there is was further reduced with the installation of the modesty panel.

They're making a comeback. 363 on return from a floor upgrade has the offside panel re-installed and one flip-up seat removed to make room.

Update: all of the Scania L94s have had the seating modification completed.

As Bus 400 has reported to me, Wales has a new contract for calendar year 2019. Expect to see more floor refurbishments.

Another year, another contract. A new contract has been awarded to Wales until December 2020.
