Okay...An angry day for me today! >:( >:( >:( >:(

538 (834) Not a classic Scania so it goes into the categorie of Horrible buses. And the aircon smelt of old lemons and dried fish >:( >:(

519 (823) Bus driver made everyone sit down, but some idiots continued to stand so we would stop the bus until they sat down for about a minute. Kids excuse for standing was: "your bus is licensed to stand 60 people." Driver replies: "SIT DOWN IT'S FOR YOUR SAFETY! And at the city she calls the service people and they get his na,e and threaten to call his school. All in all, I missed my 31 and had to walk much further and caught a:
413 (30) Amazing how people don't use the 30 as their own personal northbourne avenue bus like they do on the 31. Some stupid idiot tried to tag on and it didn't work and she said: "always worth a shot," implying that she always tries her my way card even though she knows it has no money on it, but thinks that money will mysteriously come on. Ended up paying with a $10 note. SO SELFISH!!!!!!

Report it there:
https://www.accesscanberra.act.gov.au/app/forms/action_feedback

Not here.

BTW, IMO a driver should only be telling passengers to sit down on an artic if they are doing dangerous activities or riding in the turntable or rear steps. The rule that all passengers must be seated only applies to highway school runs. Feel free to report that also.

If she had performed a top up over the internet recently, then yes, credit may mysteriously appear. Highly unlikely that a top up will be available in the afternoon since the upload is only performed at the start of the day. But that hardly makes her a "stupid idiot" or selfish for that matter.

If anything, the fact that she paid cash should be applauded. There are far too many passengers who expect (and often get) a free ride just because there's no credit on their card.

Statistically speaking, it is more likely to get a 'green' bus than an 'orange' one.
Just hope the shifts running your services are allocated a artW (Artic), EURO, CNG or IRIS (doubt it would be a STAG). Or alternatively even if it is a std or PR3 shift hope the driver gets a choice in buses and likes one of the 'green' ones.

426 (31) - So I put in a complaint about my regularly late school run on Thursday, and guess what happens?? The driver from that school run took this 31, so I get him anyway (on time though) and the new driver they gave the school run left so on time that I missed it :-[ . At least they take these complaints seriously (The status has been changed to 'in progress' on the Access Canberra portal).

I got it this morning (from Tuggeranong). But I doubt you were on it unless you were the lazy guy who got on at Soward Way/Athllon and off at the next stop - Soward Way on the other side of Scollay St. He walked further to get to the back of the bus, to sit down, then walk back to the front to get off. All in 30 seconds to a minute!!! Apart from that, the section of the run I was on I was alone so yeah...doubt it sorry!  ::)

There is a non green bus shift that used to get a EURO (or more likely) a K320 (new one) and ever since 1 month and a half ago, it has got 912 pretty much everyday.....

Time to search for 413 on Transittimes then...I must admit, the tracking capabilities are a great way to find the buses you want to go on/photograph!

It would be so much easier if you could type in the fleet number of the bus on NEXTTHERE or Transittimes to find a bus in question. But Transport for NSW won't allow it apparently due to "private contracts" with private bus operators; so apparently that means that if Transport for NSW won't allow fleet number bus tracking, the whole of Australia won't be able to either. :P

TfNSW has nothing to do with the development of apps. That is up to the individual app developers and they can be tailored to each city or operation. For instance, we can ALREADY see fleet numbers for ACTION in the apps, you can't in NSW...nothing to do with TfNSW!

Also, there is zero need for a fleet number search in apps. Remember, these apps are there for the travelling public - not just for bus enthusiasts! The only vehicle ID information which is relevant, especially in Canberra, is wheelchair accessibility and bike rack capability.

If people are so desperate for a fleet number search app, then develop it yourself!

Tram Tracker Melbourne has the idea of tracking trams using fleet numbers and that whole app is run by PTV.

Snorzac

To keep on topic slightly today I got 552, 331, 113 and 996.

To tramtracker.....have you ever been on a Melbourne team? Have you seen what is missing in their real time system that NXTbus has? The passenger screens, the whole point TramTracker search by fleet number is because the trams do no have pax screens, hence you type your fleet number in and it tells you where you are, its not there for enthusiasts! No need for an app with that feature here because we have passenger screens onboard.

Today was the first time I have been on 535 since April (I'd been on 986 more recently!!!). It helps to have a lot of favourite buses (e.g. 535, 565, 982, 362, 378, 499, 478, 487 etc.) though...and free time so you can actually go looking for your favourite bus(es) when you get the chance...

Aye, screens which have a tendency to be turned off... Drivers have been getting really slack with those recently. I'm sure I go on at least one that is turned off daily
