156, complete with one seat that had its cushion back falling off anytime the brakes were applied.

373 (11) complete with G.O.M (grumpy old man), who tagged off three stops early, and got yelled at by the bus driver, and two supervisors that just happened to be there at the time. Pure comedy gold.

Err, so the old fella tagged off a bit early.  Wouldn't be the first person who's done that.  Why yell at him.  Just coz he was grumpy!  Gee, what's the world coming to. My wife calls me a GOM as a term of endearment!

Ok, now i have more time to write this, heh.

Bus stopped at calwell shops, some pax get off, two supervisors get on, whilst doing so, man gets out of seat, tags off, and proceeds to sit on..the gunzel seat.
Driver: Are you getting off here?
Man: No no, i get off next stop!
Supervisor 1: Then why did you tag off here?
Man: I get off next stop!
(please note, i wasnt paying much attention, and was sitting on the other end of the bus..)
The supervisors then spend a good 4 minutes (Yes, i timed..) standing there explaining why he has to tag off at the correct stop
Anyway, after all that, the bus continues. Gets to the next stop (First one on casey cres, for those playing along at home), bus stops, a different passenger gets off. Hmmm, he said he was getting off here. Me and friends giggle to self.
Continue driving up casey cres, driver is still explaining how the gps in the myway thing measures patronage .etc (he did a good job trying to explain, i admit), and the man was like "I STOP HERE!"
Driver: You need to press the bell..
(Hmm, getting off at the next stop hey? we've passed two now!)
Man: "I WRITE LETTER! I WRITE LETTER!" *storms off bus*

(I got off at the next bus stop, and proceeded to joke "Yep, tagging off now!") :bonk:

Thanks for that blow-by-blow Bubzie.  Evidently a disorientated GOM.  Possibly not of an English speaking background.

Anyway, I caught 781 today.  Better still I drove it around the TISC yard and did some cone work with another trainee.

Look out Canberra and QBN, we'll be heading out on the road tomorrow.

yeah, the flight at the end of the day wasn't planned but hey...

Busnerd

Awful awful spelling :P

Also 2001 is the first B12BLEA Volgren not 2002.

Funny, I was also on S70, there were these annoying passengers peeping into my cab the whole trip and passing action newsletters through the gap in my door :p

It was 2001, I just have fat fingers

781 for TISC training. Out on the road today.  Clipped one curb going through the ANU.  Doh!  That's one beer I'll owe.  No doubt there'll be more in the weeks to come.

Saw Ed in the T depot sheds while I was waiting in the re-fueling line.  A great day. Learned heaps.

Ed

Ah, so you were in 781 along with the other newbies, but I never quite got to see who exactly was driving it.

They obviously missed the memo!

Hmmm, makes me feel better about one too many clipped curbs during TISC training these past few days.  I'm now dreaming of mirrors!

Also; bus 992 (Nara bus) has got broken down at Campbell High around 3 o'colock, before doing route 449.
They brought bus 103 instead, and it left Campbell High at 3:23(20 mins later than usual).

They also brought the repairing people about 10 mins ago, now reparing.

(added at 3:45) reparing finished, the bus has gone.

Extreme loads on the 200 may be more frequent than you think, both in am and pm peaks and in shoulders; irregularity of 200s due to Northbourne Ave congestion can severely flow through to extra heavy loads....plus service cancellations arising from bus shortages.

Yesterday was a bad day for me on buses.
first was....
715 (1/3 of a 665) Broke down halfway up Pockett Avenue. (doors not working)
712 (1/3 of a 665) Came and saved us. Took us too halfway up Tharwa Dr. (Some smoke/Dust stuff came out of the parts around the turntable. We left it there) I don't know what it was but it didn't look good for the old girl. :(
715 (1/3 of a 665) Returned after been fixed up on the side of the road to complete our journey! :)
714 (500) This bus did NOT breakdown. 712 was gone by then as i knew it would be.
