947 again; pulled it up alongside 977 at the end of my shift @ Tuggy Depot this evening.

977 now also sports the AOA version of the Abode adverts.

Although not a supporter of AOA, these buses are real eye catchers judging from the pedestrian interest I've noted while driving in 947.

ah, if I had known I would have come up and said hello. Was standing just near where you pulled up at Woden after your 11.

Yes, I recall seeing a bystander and thinking 'that chap looks a bit like Buzz....'

Yes, 818 goes OK, although a little slack in the quick acceleration department.

I was thinking it might be a good candidate for our Sand Groper friends (Adams Bus Lines).

Used to be my AM school bus driver's shift bus back in high school. Used to have the most shockingly squeaky brakes, to the point where you could quite clearly hear it arriving at a stop 250m up the road - was even worse up close, trust me :)

Thankfully its been long since fixed.. in fact, its seems quite rare for any bus to have more than a slight squeak of the brakes these days.

A bit of nostalgia for you Buzz.

Not much to be said about 881 other than 'it is a good bus' like the other 880 Olympians.  886 is the stand-out of the 880 series members presently based @ Tuggeranong....a superb bus.

Had 886 one morning this week, went quite well.

Officially it is still 'standard' but because there are fewer standards available now (they are often all gone by the time I start my afternoon half), I get allocated a green bus instead....even the PR3s are scarce at that time of the day (around 1500).
