Snake on a bus

Around lunchtime last Thursday [26th March] a man got on a route 60 bus to Tuggers with a snake wrapped around his right arm. At first I thought it was a very realistic tattoo until it bobbed its head and stuck its tongue out at me! Thankfully it wasn't a very large snake nor I hope a poisonous one and best of all the guy didn't sit next to me. Didn't the driver see the snake, or was he used to seeing it? Does anyone know?
