JR East schedules summer Pokemon campaign

JR East announced in June that it would decorate a number of shinkansen sets within its fleet as part of the "Pikanori Summer 2008" Pokemon campaign between 19 July and 15 September.

The fleet decorated will include one 200 series, one Nagano Shinkansen E2, one Tohoku Shinkansen E2-1000, one Akita Shinkansen E3, one Yamagata Shinkansen E3-1000, and two Tohoku/Joetsu Shinkansen E4 series sets.

The first specially scheduled train will operate on 19 July, from Ueno to Morioka and return, using a decorated E2 + E3 series formation
