I'm still considering buying it for parts, the Renault badge, steering wheel in decent condition etc. are probably worth a few hundred alone

Bus 400

As mentioned else where, numerous Renaults are for sale at Pickles in 2 Thursdays time. Alternatively, speak with the guys/gals at Access Recycling for logos, etc.

Probably a good option for badges and other bits and pieces.

BUS 726 is for sale on Ebay

Once again, what about 725?!? I believe 726 was with her out at Herron's Creek...I still want her...but can't get her for many reasons (storage wouldn't be an issue, just the cost and that). One day though...as long as she survives that long  :-\ (fingers crossed)

Snorzac

Dare I say the reason you maybe can't find it is because the person who bought it doesn't want to sell it?

Personally I wouldn't touch one of these,  the cost of any repairs to the turntable/drive train would (I assume) be astronomical die to their unique two axle drive.

According to this article, an artic was put up for sale on Facebook

http://www.canberratimes.com.au/act-news/what-happens-to-an-action-bus-after-it-retires-20150207-131obd.html

At a guess, 716 (from out the back of EPIC) or 717 (wasnt it out near Yass or something?) based off the look of the land and where it is?

All I know, is it isn't 725 or any of the other MKIs sold off to wherever...

Former City Loop Darts 148 & 150 are being auctioned tomorrow by Pickles.

Listings: 148 and 150.

This may suggest they will send any other road-worthy ones for auction later.

Snorzac

Well went along to the auction with full intention of buying one, someone ripped themselves off however with an online bidder taking home the darts for $10000 (148) and $9000 (150)!

Stan butler

10k and 9k each!!!

They ripped themselves off alright.

I sure hope they are planning to spend a lot of time servicing these buses (and looking for parts).

Didn't ACTION have $1mil of Dart assets at some point, or is that all in the bin now?

Stan butler

They probably went through their so called dart assets (spare parts) very quickly.  I think they ended up canibalising some of the dead ones just to keep the city loop going.

And again: this time two "Orange Wolves" Darts have been sent to Pickles for Auction. They were 145 & 147, and are being sold without internal seating.

Listings: 145 and 147

Auction will be held online on 2 April 2020.

ex-571 (MAN SL200) with stripped interior but little else in the way of modifications is listed for (wait for it) $20,000
