Quote from: Police Media releaseWitnesses sought to ACTION bus damage

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident  last Wednesday in which a bottle was thrown at an ACTION bus, narrowly missing a passenger.

Around 8.30pm yesterday, the bus driver reported to police that an object had been thrown at his bus as he was driving east on Franklin St, near Manuka.

The object, thought to be a bottle, broke a window on the left side of the bus and glass fragments entered the vehicle. Four passengers were riding in the bus at the time of the incident and fortunately none were injured.

One witness reported seeing a male standing on the footpath with a bottle in his hand around the time the incident occurred and police would urge any other witnesses who may have seen this male, or any other suspicious activity on Frankllin St, Griffith around the time of the incident, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

People like this should be run over by the bus and be stabbed repeatedly by glass bottles.

Seriously, the government needs to take a stance on projectiles being thrown at buses, minimum 5 years jail ought to wipe the  toothless smile off their faces.

Irisbus Rider

True.

The trouble is catching them, see, they throw the thing at the bus, the bus stops, they run away, what then? Unless the security camera footage captured the images of their faces, they will get away scot free, unfortunately.
