Title: Historic Roads of the Woden Valley District
Post by: smitho on December 12, 2014, 09:56:34 PM
The Dec 2014 / Jan 2015 issue of the Garran Neighbourhood Watch newsletter contains the first of a series of articles on Woden's Heritage.

It is based on the self drive Woden Heritage Track opened in Oct 2014. The article identifies the routes and en route features of two of the district's major routes for farmers and graziers of the Valley, namely the Long Gully Road and Cemetery Road.

Long Gully Road went from the Cooma Rd (now Monaro Highway) to the Cotter Road near present day Duffy, via the Wanniassa Hills and present day Mawson and Pearce/Chifley.
