Anyone interested in a New Year's Eve buspedition? Unlike last year, ACTION will be running a full weekday service plus the 81.
Seeing as though NYE is on a Monday, why the hell not! I could always try and get on the 81 again, which last time decided to lock its breaks in the middle of a London cct intersection!
I wouldnt mind but i dont think i can take that day off work, so i can join in the morning and after 5.30 as im doing 11 - 5.30
i'm working 1-10 on nye, i could join in, in the morning, i guess.
(I really feel sorry for the guy who's working till midnight, haha!)
last i checked, mawson closed bloody early, so wouldnt they close even earlier on a public holiday?
I'm busy that day. Work commitments :(

we close at 10...and its not just because of teh public holiday!!
(normally we close at midnight. Thankyou construction at work!!)

I don't have work commitments, I just have work.
Only people who arent actually employed/paid call it a committment, as if we dont wanna go we can just call in sick and get payed for it :P
So that sounds like a yes then. I would like to do a full route 48 before it disappears, 81 is always good, maybe a 35 then catch 38 to Woden and Cooleman Court or South Woden.
Any other suggestions, or should I just put something together?

Do whatever you like - start where it suits you, end where it suits you. I will join the 315 at Florey. Or maybe the 312 at Belconnen.
Maybe ACTION could hire the terminus out? By the looks of Network '08, it is going to be demolished anyway, so who cares what happens?
I can join from Belconnen on the 312 at 8.50am, but I won't be able to go along all day. So I will bow out at some stage. See you all on the 31st.

It will probably end up like the other former termini with the turn around bay and maybe the shelter kept but all signage and stuff removed. Better get your photos of buses using the terminus fast! Infact on that subject Theodore won't even have an Xpresso in the new network.
Watson, Fyshwick and Narrabundah are the other terminus locations that will become disused under the new network, in the case of the last 2 they won't even have any routes going past them anymore.
