Quote from: Cutepattern1098 on September 14, 2024, 12:13:20 PMI think they've started work on upgrading the Queanbeyan depot to accommodate Electric bus chargers.
Looks like they've finished installing the chargers. All we need are the actual buses to arrive.
Given they are supposed to start running as school buses for term 4 they the three Yutongs could arrive as soon as this week.

Quote from: L94UBbusfan on Today at 10:59:41 AMYes, I saw that 510 has MyWay+ validators on Friday, I also noticed that 539 also had them installed.

I'm also fairly certain that Bus-800 is also fully fitted out with MyWay+ as I could see the yellow fare validator a good distance away.

I saw 823 in Woden this evening on an R4. Funny enough had I waited an extra 5-10 minutes at Wanniassa I would've gotten it.  :(

Well that was interesting. I saw 812, 815, 818 and 820 as well as one at Tuggeranong (didn't get the number, but it didn't have the "I'm an Electric bus" stuff on it) however I didn't see a single Yutong from the original 12 today.

Quote from: triumph on October 02, 2024, 09:54:37 PMKeep getting feeling I have forgotten something - because of not tapping on and off.

It's definitely different not tapping on and off, I feel like a fare evader! Onto today's trip...

666 (26)
450 (R8)
609 (R4) - should have gotten 630 before, would have saved 15 minutes
472 (R5)
614 (R4)
336 (R4)
395 (R8)
360 (26)

A few notes from today's travels...

- I noted that 539 and 510 have had MyWay+ readers installed.

- While on 609 this morning, I saw 980 in the city, with a large "This bus is a training bus" wrap on the side, presumably to assure the public the Renaults are no longer in route service. I personally haven't seen anything like it before. Maybe it was a good thing I waited and got 609 instead of getting 630?

- 315 was on an R5, it's the second Irisbus I have seen on a rapid during the school holiday timetable.

- I spotted 689 in AOA and it's pretty underwhelming. Just a sand wrap with some text on it.

- 360 was the nicest L94UB I have ridden on in ages. It was in great condition for an 18 year old bus, and the engine sound was just wow. Truly the best in the fleet as of right now.

Quote from: triumph on October 02, 2024, 10:06:21 PMToday was different, rode 814 and saw 811, 816, 818, 813, 812, 810. So two from older tranche and five from newer tranche. Of the five, I had only identified 812 previously.

I spotted 815 and a Yutong from the first batch (didn't get a fleet number) when I was out on Monday. What I did notice in the Gungahlin area were 3 out of the 4 Element 2s (didn't see 750.) Tomorrow I am planning to go out so I will keep an eye out for any of the new Yutongs. Hopefully ride one too.
