In recent weeks, the TCCS Annual Report for 2016-17 was released & can be viewed at https://www.tccs.act.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0018/1113444/170908-TCCS-Annual-Report-2017-Vol-1.pdf

A couple of interesting points include:

1. Bike racks on buses are used 1,800 times a month on average.
2. Only the Black & Green Rapids are starting 2017-18. With the Weston Line to have increased services in 2018.
3. Implementation of the new ticketing system will start in 2017-18.
4. From 1 July 2017, TCCS takes control of Transport Policy team from EPSDD.
5. Bus operating costs were $5.53 per a kilometre. Target for 2020-21 is $5.24 per a kilometre.
6. Just under 18.3 million passengers boarded buses. That's an increase of 460,000.
7. Buses travelled 26,700,829 kilometres. An increase of 3.7% over previous year.
8. Costs per a passenger was $7.71, target was $7.92. (Something to think about the $4.60 cash fare actually paid).
9. It has been recommended that a Gungahlin to Tuggeranong via Belconnen Rapid Service be trialled & has been noted by TCCS.
10. TCCS employs 716 bus drivers, 69 of which are female.

12. Diesel fuel usage increased by 7.4% from 9,227 to 9,907l. CNG usage dropped 13.9% from 2,425,397 to 2,089,047 Cm cubed. While the numbers of vechiles didn't change at 432.
13. Management of SNT was transferred to ACTION from the Education Department. Previously ACTION provided the staff & buses & charged ED.
14. Advertising cut increased by $0.6 million.
15. Woden Depot upgrade works have been brought forward to be completed at the end of 2017, originally to be completed in 2019.

Of which I contributed 2% of the average with my 30-50 B&R monthly average trips, still 1800 is quite a number, I'm surprised.
