ZIB 228 - Bedford VAM5 "photographed in Aranda while operating a service from CCAE (Canberra College of Advanced Education) to the City.  I think route number 22 was incorrect – at this time the service was either unnumbered or had recently been allocated 47."

ZIB 231 - Bedford SB3 - "ZIB.231 is seen at the Spence terminus of route 44 (Higgins-Spence).  [Route 44 operated from an on-street interchange located on Fullagar Crescent adjacent to Higgins Shops.  This interchange was established in July 1973 in conjunction with the introduction of feeder route 43.  It was replaced by an off-street interchange in Higgins which was brought into use on 22 December 1975 and remained the focal point for West Belconnen services until the opening of Belconnen Interchange on 27 January 1979.]"

ZIB 243 - Ford D400, seen at Woden Interchange.

ZIB 248 - Ford Thames, seen at Kingston Depot.

Fan-tas-tic photos! We are very lucky to have had Mr LJ Pascoe capture such an interesting and unique time in ACT 's transport history. Thanks for sharing these with us, and keep them coming! :)

Mat would be impressed, a thread almost devoted to buses with slanted windows.  Would CCAE have been what is now CIT?

I know it was the "good old days" but even they must have thought they looked stupid!
