Canberra Region Transport Show 2011

[Bus 400]

On the 1st May 2011, Canberra's Transport Industries Skills Centre hosted an open day (http://www.suttonroad.com.au/tisc_flyerpdf.pdf). A few local & national companies as well as vintage & classic cars, here are some photo's.





ACTION was offering laps of the TISC track in Bus 471.



While Bus 472 sat at the other end with a SNT Bus. Both Buses 471 & 472 are Scania K320UB's.


Meanwhile, ACTION Buses 754 & 780 were on offer for the public to drive around the TISC track.

The Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter was also out for display & rides. A few hours after this event, this helicopter was used for a patient transfer to Canberra Hospital.

Great, I was a bit nervous accelerating to start off with. But I had no difficulty in turning the bus & was smooth with the brakes. The hill at the end worried me a bit, but I had controlled the bus easy enough. By the end of it I believe I had the jist of the hang of it.
