ALL ABOARD...THE ACTION BUS WASH TOUR
Canberra media are invited to join children from Waramanga Preschool on a fun and informative tour as they learn how to catch the bus, play games and watch a bus become spick and span on an ACTION bus wash tour.

"ACTION bus wash tours are an educational session on bus use and safety which aims to be fun and informative for young children," Mr Roncon said.
"During the tour children will be provided with an introduction on how to catch and use a bus while playing games such as 'Spotto!' – or spot the object, throughout the tour.

"A $200,000 water recycling bus wash was installed at Tuggeranong bus depot in July 2011. This new bus wash uses 85 percent recycled water per wash. A new water recycling bus wash is planned to be installed at Belconnen depot later this year."

Mr Roncon said the tour takes groups on a small trip around Canberra, through a bus depot and through one of ACTION's bus washes where the bus is cleaned.

"Bus wash tours are free and operate on request available to childcare and preschool groups in the ACT. A minimum of 12 children is required to book a tour.

"To request a bus wash tour, write to ACTION Customer Service using the customer contact form and provide:
• Your preschool or childcare group name
• A contact name and number
• Date you want to take the tour
• The number of children and adults to accompany children."
