Deane's Transit Group has begun the roll-out of wireless internet (wi-fi) on board its bus services, with ACT Shadow Transport Services Minister Alistair Coe welcoming the move today.

Whilst the service will initially be rolled out on Deane's most popular service, it is planned to eventually be available across the entire bus fleet.

"I commend Deane's for being the first in ACT and NSW to implement the service," Mr Coe said today.

"Deane's already provides a good bus service for the Canberra region and the introduction of wireless internet on-board will make travelling with Deane's even better.
"Deane's has worked in conjunction with a number of hardware and software providers to help make the onboard wireless internet a reality," Mr Coe concluded.

Further information about the service can be obtained from Deane's Transit Group by contacting 6299 3722.

ACT Bus has sought comment from Mr Coe as to whether, if elected, his party would investigate the provision of Wifi on ACTION Buses.
