15 buses cancelled each day

Canberra's ACTION bus system continues to let down passengers with almost 15 services cancelled on average each day since July 1.

During much of that time, up to 15 new buses have remained in the Woden depot while on average there have been 3.8 breakdowns daily, accounting for 36.3 per cent of cancelled services.

Absenteeism, at 48.1 per cent, is the greatest cause of cancellations. Other causes include accidents (1.5 per cent) and bus shortages (6.7 per cent).
