A lot of types are coming and going at the moment, Qantas with 734s and Virgin with the E170s.

Qantas has now started the steady withdrawal of 737-400s with the bulk of these aircraft been purchased by a carrier based in Budapest. Last week with the entry into service of the latest 737-800 for Jetconnect the final 737 with them was withdrawn.

So far two Australian registered ones have left with TJM going in June and TJT last month. TJF (one of my most photographed) will be withdrawn as of 11/11/11 and TJO (Only 734 in new livery) will go on the 13/12/11). This is going with a two 738s for one 734 swap so I think this time next year numbers will be dwindling.

Virgin as of last week only has two E170s remaining in the fleet, however I believe these will stay in the fleet till some time next year.

The two 737-400s mentioned above have been placed into storage at Avalon due to ongoing industrial action, I doubt they will see sevice again.
