It's now nearly 20 years since the end of Deluxe Coachlines in November 1990.

Deluxe was a very ambitious but short lived nationwide coach operator that thrived in the years leading-up to airline dergulation in Australia and took heaps of traffic from the interstate trains.

It was a pioneer in using long distance double deckers, starting with German Kassbohrer Setras  before convincing Dennings to develop the Landseer Super Deckers. By 1989, it had 37 double deckers in a national fleet of 170 buses.

It had links with Ansett Airlines of Australia offering combined air-coach packages.
