Crane photos?

I took some photos of this huge mobile crane that was erecting a tower crane in the City - that site on Marcus Clarke St next to the multi-storey carpark to be specific - a couple of weekends ago. Anyone interested in seeing them?

I saw it the other day rotating, it was almost a frightening sight!

I had a moment last week, there's a tower going up in North Sydney (yes higher than six storeys:P) anyway, they're at the point where the basement levels have all been dug out, but they needed a skid steer down there to clear some shit up, so they lifted one down into the hole - I'd never seen that done before

The crane is a Grove GMK7450 operated by Melrose Cranes who are based in Sydney. They have a website at: http://www.melrosecranes.com.au/index.htm

Wow, what a sight. Good to see some construction on a grand scale in town.

This crane is currently sitting on the Macarthur Avenue median strip so I got a much closer look than last time. Photos to follow.

The crew told me they will be putting up a bridge on the Barry Dr bus lane, presumably tomorrow.
