As discussed at teh ACT Transit meeting, between schnitzels last week:

The next Belconnen Community Council Public Meeting is at 7.30pm, Tuesday 20 September, Upstairs Belconnen Library Chandler Street, Belconnen.

The BCC will be holding a Transport Forum in 2 parts. Part 1 on Transport in Belconnen will be this month. Part 2 on Parking and Access in Belconnen Town Centre will be in Nov.

This month, Mr Kuga Kugathas from the Transport Planning, Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate will be giving a presentation on the ACT's Strategic Transport Plan.

In the Belconnen area, there are projects relating to the design and construction of park and ride facilities,bike and ride facilities, bus lanes, a real time information system and major upgrades to bus stops.

This is an opportunity for you to raise your issues about public transport, parking or access to the Belconnen Bus Interchange.

Input from this two part forum will be used by the BCC in establishing the "Belconnen Master Plan 2030" process.

All members of the public are welcome to attend BCC Forums. If you are unable to attend and would like to ask a question to any of our speakers, please leave a comment here and we will ask it for you.
