It may only be a matter of time, but sometime soon, someone in the ACT will have the corona virus, then someone else then so on. We all know people cough and sneeze on buses and some don't cover their mouths. The buttons, the handles etc. All potential germ traps.
So what will it take for you to stop going on the buses?

Still have to go by bus to get to a Hospital, so my answer is DEATH.
I have made a decision to no longer utilise public transport until further notice due to the coronavirus; my travel is now exclusively utilising the large van taxis, as they are the vehicles in which I am able to be most isolated from other human beings including the driver.
Can you work from home instead?

This would be authorised only by my director in a pandemic situation; as an EL1 with direct reports, I am required to be present in the office. In a lower grade such as an APS5 with no reports, it would be possible to work from home.
