This is the first of a series of some photos from my trip with the girls (Mathew and Leigh) to Brisbane.

The EMU was Brisbane's first electric powered multiple units. They are being refurbished currently by EDI Rail in Maryborough, with the refurbished sets nicknamed 'Bandicoots'

QR Traveltrain Tilt Train
Introduced in the mid 90's, the Tilt Train replaced the Spirit of Capricorn service operated by ICE Trains. The Tilt Train was built by Walkers (EDI Rail) Masryborough.

QR Tilt Train 'City of Maryborough' (Named after the town the trains were constructed) is seen here at Bundaberg Station on a southbound Brisbane service. I was up in Car A, so aplogies for the half shaded photo!

Brisbane Ferries (CityCat)

First Generation CityCat Mianjin sits at North Quay CityCat Terminal at dusk, behind it is a Motorway which hugs the side of the Brisbane River

2 Second Generation CityCats cross paths outside the Riverside CityCat terminal near the Story Bridge. The CityCat in the Foreground is named Meeandah and was introduced in Feb 2008

A First Generation CityCat gently negotiates the Brisbane River at Dusk. This ferry is named Binkinba

Oasis-Jupiters Monorail

The Gold Coast monorail is seen here entering Conrad Jupiters now advertising RACQ Insurance instead of being all over white. In the background the loop forms double track over the highway before entering the Oasis Shopping Centre
