The new permit has started being put into the buses.

And the big news: the range is now
100 to 131
300 to 463
882 to 982.
Either I made a mistake by reporting the wrong info or they have issued amended permits. Anyway, the range on the permits is now:

100 to 131
300 to 463
882 to 999

A DL2 bike rack has now been fitted to 993. May not be long until all PR100.3s are fitted.

103, 994 and 998 are racked up.

Also 992, 101 (occurred on or about 27 July) &
996 (sighted today).

Barry Drive

Been a while between updates (on here anyway). Based on recent sightings, all PR100.3s have bike racks except for:

990 991 995 999 102

Barry Drive

Yesterday Bus 991 was fitted with a bike rack. Which completes the fitment of racks to all PR100.3s.

The current permit expires today. So very soon we can find out how far into the Mk1 buses will get a rack - my guess is somewhere around 856 onwards. By my very dodgy calculations, that will result in 80% of buses by June 2012 (346/430).

Have finally seen new bike rack permit. In a surprising move, the fleet range is completely unchanged.

So unless a third (*) permit is issued, 80% by 30 June 2012 won't be achieved.

(* I say third because I assume 490 has a separate permit.)

Don't know if 903 has had a rack put back on after its smash repairs - it didn't have one last time I saw it.
Finally, 903 has had a rack put back on. Perhaps this signals the resumtion of rack fitting at T depot. They've got 882-887 + 890-892 unracked.

Buzz Killington

ACTBusspotter tweets that 899 is now racked

Barry Drive

… along with 889 & 896. There could also be others.

Backtracking a bit here, but did they forget what 983-989 are?

It wont apply to them as they don't meet certain criteria on the permit, mainly the length and weight which are set somewhere around 13.8M and 16t. Obviously there is no intention to, nor does the permit allow for bike racks on artics.

ACTbusspotter is reporting via Twitter that BUS 855 (yes 855) is racked.

I checked the  permit. I'm sure noone will be surprised to discover someone has f---ed up. Permit in 855 is exactly the same as the others: bus range of 882 to 999, 100 to 131 and 300 to 463.

Busnerd

I hope you brought it to their attention (much like the pay phone in the lobby that gives free long distance)

Bus 388 now has a DL2. It is commonly on a 319.

OK, so what I've seen this morning was 855...thanks

Buzz Killington

Thanks to ACTbusspotter and Metrobus respectively, 856 and 897 have racks.

Snorzac

Technically CNG was actually the one that pointed out 856...

Buzz Killington

865 is racked, according to Metrobus

Barry Drive

888 possibly racked as well - only saw it quickly, so it could have been 898 ... or something ending in 6 or 8 or 9  :)

Barry Drive

Latest sightings: 900 - racked; 888 - not racked.

... and 852 & 882 (reported on twitter, not posted here - until now).

CNG

860 has a rack, i think that is the first tuggy mk1

Snorzac

862 was apparently...

Barry Drive

The sighting of 862 was not 100% certain, but even if it was they usually fit two racks at a time so 860 & 862 could jointly be considered as being the first T depot Mk1s with bike racks. Unless there were others as well.

Haven't noticed any others....

Bus 400

Myself & ACTBusSpotter noticed Bus 879 is now racked.

smitho

Not sure if this one has already been reported, but 859 was sitting on the Tuggeranong bricks today with a rack - one of the best of the Tuggy Mark 1s.

Not reported before. With every T depot PR100.2 to be racked by 30 June, expect many more over the next 8 weeks. And please keep the reports coming.

*862 was definitely fitted with a rack when observed at Tugg Depot this am; rack-fitted 859 remains on bricks.

smitho

Saw 861 in the 'Shops this am wearing a rack.

Barry Drive

875, 878 and 890 have been sighted "with rack" by myself and Mayor McCheese in the last few days.

smitho

After extended stints on the Tuggy bricks, 859 is now on the Belco bricks, minus its Wayfarer kit, but still sporting its new rack.

870 871 883 887 892 reported with rack recently

Snorzac

876 was racked (I am sure I reported this via Twitter)

Barry Drive

You reported 878 2 weeks ago, but not 876.

874 also racked.

Snorzac

Ok then, don't quote me on 876 but I am sure it is.

Barry Drive

Barry Drive

Forget earlier reports of 863 being at Belconnen for withdrawal - it was getting a bike rack fitted before returning to service.

Other recent new sightings are 881 884.

Which just leaves 872 873 891 and some Mk1s rackless.

Bus 850 now has a bicycle rack.

EDIT
Bus 851 was racked up today.
