Post by: Carrie on January 09, 2008, 11:14:34 AM
I took a pic of Crowthers coach TV2866 in Katoomba in Nov. and again here in Canberra on Monday.

These are signs I saw in or on a bus recently.
Action bus 321 in regards to where to park Scanias.

And on bus 303 was an Entrant sign to Summernats. Did it compete ???

Wow, very interesting!

I also noticed all these stickers on some irisis stuck on the windscreen and rears about summernats, i hope they were put there by action, otherwise some vandals and nats bogans were advertising by ruining our buses, but i havent seen them since so im guessing they were just on for the weekend.

ACTION have had their buses as part of the summernats for many years. I recall bus 900 being spruced up and apparently having the engine tweaked for a performance out there when it was near new. Also 674 (the PR100 demo) wore a summernats AOA for many years.

900 had a modified engine? Does it still retain that?

The engine wasn't modified as such, just opened right up for maximum performance (so the story goes anyway, most of what i heard about it was 2nd hand info). I do recall seeing it being driven around a fair clip on the drag way, was a PR exercise for ACTION at the time, must have been around 1992.
