Title: Bus 732
Post by: Buzz Killington on June 06, 2009, 03:30:54 PM
Anyone happen to have a photo of it from its time with ACTION?

I don't have one and couldn't locate one online either. It was a Scania N113, and is/was at Metro Tasmania with fleet number 193.

Thanks!

Fun Fact: This bus is now used for spare parts for Metro Tasmania.

It would have been interesting to see whether or not it had the passenger operated rear doors whilst operating in Canberra.

Thanks for providing the photo for us, Buzz/RATEC.

It didn't. Sort of.

I remember catching an evaluation bus - probably 732 but not sure - which had an outward opening rear door like those used in Adelaide and Hobart, but the door was driver operated.

Thanks for that information Martin.

Seems as though they took a lot of effort to make evaluation buses 'ACTION' spec, with the flipdot desto, and altering the rear door set-up.

The flipdot desto was a retrofit. When it arrived it had a roller blind setup.
