Street 'n Suburb thanks.
Casey Crescent NARRABUNDAH
Unfortunately, not there, sorry.
Ainsworth St, Mawson?
A street in a suburb in Canberra that has a bus on it
Isn't that near the mint on the 932? I have no idea what the street name is, and the ACTION map isn't helping

Do you mean Novar Street/Schlich Street/Hopetourn Circuit YARRALUMLA?
yep. Out the front of the old Embassy Motel that was recently demolished. The hedge and road surface look familiar

You are correct there TP3000! It is actually on a street that has regular route services on it 7 days a week.
Sorry, not Ainsworth St Mawson, or Hopetoun Cct Yarralumla.
Damn it looks familiar!! I am thinking somewhere in Anslie
Quote from: Lemon on July 21, 2009, 05:00:14 PMI am thinking somewhere in Anslie
And which street in Ainslie would that be?
Officer Cres. ?
I really have no idea. I have seen that hedge before though, I'm sure of it
Apologies, not Officer Cres.
Majura Ave
Sorry, not there either.
Phillip Ave.
Nah, not Phillip Av either.
Bremer St, Griffith
Not Griffith, sorry Ed.
Campbell Street AINSILE?
If it's not casey St, Narrabundah then it'd have to be MacFarland Cres or Eggeleston Cres, Chifley.
Not Campbell St Ainslie, or MacFarland Cres or Eggeleston Cres, Chifley.
Wakefield Avenue AINSILE
That's a no for Wakefield Av, sorry.
It looks so much like Mugga Way RED HILL
Not Mugga Way in Red Hill.
Cox Street AINSILE
Aint on Cox St in Ainslie either.
Stab in the dark, Tallara Parkway in 'bundah?
Not in Tallara Pky in Narrabundah either.
For this one, a clue is the roadbase. It's dirty, right? That's a clue there!
Aah, so it must be in Belconnen then ;)
Osburn Dr Macgregor?
Lol, I was hoping no-one would take Mats post seriously, but you obviously have Buzz. So, in other words, that's a no.
I didnt even see his post before!
Ebden in Ainslie?
Not there either, sorry mate.
Look, none of these guesses are really "outside of the square", when you'll guess correctly, then you'll understand what I've been trying to say. Really, think far outside of the square.
Beasley Street TORRENS
But Chris_Guru said I was correct before & I don't get what you mean

You said "A street in a suburb in Canberra that has a bus on it", that part is correct!
It is not in Torrens!
Once again it is a street that has a 7 day a week service, however the section of the street serviced during the week is different to that serviced on the weekend, however this does not miss any bus stops and is the only location i can think of in Canberra that has this occur.
If "the section of the street serviced during the week is different to that serviced on the weekend....but .... this does not miss any bus stops" ......how can this be?
All will be revealed once someone gets it right!
So, to recap, the following streets have been ruled out:
Casey Cres, Narrabundah (even though no such street exists - presumably meant Caley Cres)
Ainsworth St, Mawson
Hopetoun Cirt, Yarralumla / Deakin
Officer Cres, Ainslie
Majura Ave
Phillip Ave
Bremer St, Griffith
Campbell St, Ainslie
Macfarland Cres, Chifley
Eggleston Cres, Chifley
Wakefield Ave
Mugga Way, Red Hill
Cox St, Ainslie
Tallara Parkway, Narrabundah
Osburn Dr, Macgregor
Ebden St, Ainslie
Beasley St, Torrens
Based solely on Chris's clue, my guess would be Newman-Morris Cirt in Oxley as it's the only street I can think of that has a 7 day service which is serviced differently during the week than to the weekend but doesn't miss any stops.
Not on Newman Morris Cct in Oxley, sorry. but you're definately thinking the right way about it.
Although, the location doesn't have any aditional stops to pick up at on during the week, it just goes a little bit further up the street than on the weekend.
Hmm, this is the most interesting one I've see for a while!
Wisdom St Garran?
Not on Wisdom St, Garran.
Waldock st chifley
Not Waldock St in Chifley.
Procter Street CHISHOLM
Not Proctor St in Chisholm.
Miller St O'Connor?
Not Miller St in O'Connor.
Time for a clue; the weekend portion of the route on this street is serviced by an Xpresso (on weekdays obviously)
Damn you and your popular threads with hard to guess images! my record is going to get beaten!
Then why did you post that? You are only getting him closer to the record :P
He's gunna get there anyway
unless some posts just happen to mysteriously disappear...

How many more posts does he need?
This "Where Is It" has now beaten the record with my post
Deamer Crescent RICHARDSON
Not Deamer Cres Richardson.
You're all not taking note of the clues, dirty road, Xpresso, weekend and weekday differations.
And whatever you do, please, think outside of the square.
If this thread keeps going like this, a different angle of the bus will be posted.
Ha ha at the presumably french person in that picture.
its Dick Dastardly, famed for his moustache twirling.
Next clue
This street has recently (as of february this year) had a change to the number of buses that service it.
Ok, a review of incorrect guesses, this time, by suburb.
The photo was not taken in the following suburbs;
Narrabundah
Mawson
Yarralumla
Deakin
Ainslie
Dickson
Watson
Downer
Griffith
Chifley
Red Hill
Macgregor
Torrens
Oxley
Garran
Chisholm
O'Connor
Richardson
Aren't too many suburbs left lol.
Recapping the clues;
-"Dirty roadbase"
-"It is a street that has a 7 day a week service, however the section of the street serviced during the week is different to that serviced on the weekend, however this does not miss any bus stops"
-"The weekend portion of the route on this street is serviced by an Xpresso (on weekdays obviously)"
-"This street has recently (as of february this year) had a change to the number of buses that service it."
-"Closest where is it guess so far: Narrabundah".
And one of the biggest suggestions I can give is to think outside of the square.
Here's the photo for page 2;

Guess away!
Newcastle St Fyshwick?
Not Newcastle St. But Fyshwick is correct.
Lithgow Street FYSHWICK
The Street opposite the market at right angles to Canberra Ave (Nyrang St I think its called).
Or more likely, Mildura St --- there have been a lot of muddy trucks coming out of the Market redevelopment site, the reason for the dirty road.....
or could it be Wentworth Ave, near the new construction site there?
It is indeed TP3000s guess, the photo was taken on Lithgow St prior to commencing a 980. Good work there, hope all
the clues now makes sense!
well done TP 3000!
Yay, I would like to thank those that gave the clues.
Is "Think Outside The Square" a slogan for a company near there?
No, think outside the square was supposed to indicate it's not a suburb in a town centre as such.
(https://www.actbus.net/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi64.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh175%2FRJT-RR-GR%2FDSCF1169-1.jpg&hash=c2926ec3cda2c151b143fb9890e3820733df667a)
Here's the original shot, as you can see, it would have given it away instantly.
Yes, I know editing it was quite sneaky, but it was a major clue, and no rules were bent in this process.
Enjoy!
It still doesn't look like Fyshwick. The building at the back of the bus looks like an older style house.
I would have thought the cement factory in the background, and that big conbeyor would have given it away as an Industrial suburb.
Yes, it is an old house, as this part of Fyshwick was built in the 50s/60s. But it has a front fence, which is not allowed in the ACT (Is that correct or a myth?), so that ruled out most of suburban Canberra.

I can now think of another location where this occurs. But I won't say where - might save that for another 'trivia' quiz.
Wentworth Ave is another possible contender, as is Katherine Ave at Amaroo
