Post by: Bus 400 on August 31, 2009, 11:19:11 PM
I found this article & with the slow down of rail services into Canberra thought it was topical.
The article "High Drama or Farce & Tragedy-Some Thoughts On A Bridge At Chakola" was published in Railway Digest August 1989, by my late Uncle Robert J Struthers.](https://www.actbus.net/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi550.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii421%2FJulianHamstead%2FIMG-2.jpg&hash=53842a1ec4199166f97b58cd3624053d580d9080)(https://www.actbus.net/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi550.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii421%2FJulianHamstead%2FIMG_0001-2.jpg&hash=fc745e9a81f99c69f2e4e5d00506854c588478c5)
Robert took the top picture of 1210 & 5910 leading the Centenary of the line special to Cooma leaving the Tuggeranong Valley on the morning of Saturday 27 May (1989). The bottom picture was taken by a Bob Proctor leaving Michelago heading home.
