It's got bucketloads of torque - 1450NM compared to 1020NM for the Irises. I think we'll be beating lots of cars at the lights in these machines.

Interesting that they're specifying 74 MAN diesels; the remaining 12 new diesels (to make up the order of 86 new diesel buses) could well be the mysterious standard diesel Scanias .....

From where did you get the idea that ACTION is getting 86 buses? It was always supposed to be 100 and, based on the media release (refer this thread (http://actbus.net/forum/index.php?topic=1843.0)), it will be 74 MAN 18.320 and 26 Scania 'large capacity' buses.

That 86 figure is one I recall from Assembly Estimates Committee Hearing transcripts but that was some time ago...
