After the Perth to Fremantle rail commuter service was withdrawn in the 1980s, TransPerth introduced a high speed, high frequency, limited stop bus service.

Not sure what kind of buses they used, but the service was regarded as pretty innovative at the time.

With the reopening and electrification of the railway line, the bus service was scaled back.

From memory the Mercedes O305G's were used & I have a felling that the route was alongside the train track. It may be a coincidence but these buses have been known as the 'bumblers''
