Title: South Depot bus wash

Workl on the new Tuggy bus wash appears to be nearing completion; new lighting is very effective and general washdown area is now looking pretty spiffy...

It looks like Bus 377 tested out the new bus wash day as it looked wet & shiny all over (that includes the gas pod), while parked just past the wash.

yay, 490 might look half decent now as I am lead to believe that it's dimensions were listed as part of the minimum requirements of the wash!

I saw 490 yesterday and it did look clean for once.

New Tuggy Depot bus wash commissioned last Thursday, 7 July.

Since then a very large number of buses, both orange and green types, have been put through the wash. Removing all that built up grime and dirt will be improving Tuggy fleet's fuel economy no end!

Old Tuggy wash had originally been installed at Kingston Depot, then served Woden Transport Depot before being relocated to Tuggeranong Depot. It must have been pretty old as it was second hand when the Canberra Omnibus Service first installed it at Kingston. Apparently it was a modified former car wash.

Belconnen wash has recently been upgraded but will not be replaced.
