Post by: Buzz Killington on April 19, 2012, 08:53:51 PM
QuoteA Transport Show, put on by TISC in conjunction with Canberra City Lions Club to promote and foster transport awareness in our community.Proceeds to charities, including Snowy Hydro Southcare, Eden Monaro Cancer Support, Canberra Blind Society and many others.

The day will include a fly in by the SHSC helicopter, Rides in a Cobb & Co coach, ACTION bus rides,  Skid pan rides, show n shines, displays, fire engines, AFP, live music, kids entertainment, vintage trucks & cars

Barbeques by Lions club, Other foods & drinks , a charity auction, many car clubs, motorcycles, historical engines, and much more..

Come along have a great day and make this a memorable event. $10 adult $20 family

Date is TBC - I noticed the event was coming up thanks to Southern Cross Ten's "Community Connect" TV ads (!!) - their website lists the event as being on Tuesday 1 May from 10am til 4pm, but that date can't be right. Nothing on the TISC website about it at present.

That would because last years event was held on Sunday 1st May. It was a great day out last year & highly recommended.

Last year, eligible people had to chance to take ACTION Buses 754 & 780 for a lap around TISC.

Last year's flyer can be found at http://www.suttonroad.com.au/tisc_flyerpdf.pdf

My photo's from last year can also be seen at http://www.actbus.net/forum/index.php?topic=3075.msg28604#msg28604 . Due to some folder reorganising, the DTG buses are no longer shown in this thread.
