Bus400 has alerted me to the fact that the new fare schedule was tabled in the Legislative Assembly this week. All MyWay fares will go up by exactly 2.5%.

New fares will take effect on Saturday 5 January 2019. They are as follows -

Cash

Adult       Concession
Single trip       $5.00$2.50
Daily$9.60$4.80

MyWay

Adult      Concession    School       Tertiary
Peak$3.22$1.61$1.61$1.61
Off peak$2.55$0.89$1.61$1.61
School Day$1.22$1.61
Weekend Daily cap    $5.87$2.17$2.17$2.17

Since the determination sets only the maximum fare, the concession off-peak fare and City Loop can still be free of charge at Transport Canberra's discretion.

Again?! Well at least this time it'll be easier to remember the values for the cash fares.

Any chance of Barry Drive working out the MyWay fares inclusive of the BPAY Discount? :)

By this time last year, the new fare determination had been published.

As there has been nothing yet this year, I would assume there won't be a fare rise in early January 2020.

Checked the legislation register. No new fare determination.

So no fare rises in January 2022.

As mentioned in the 2024 Budget, fares will rise in January 2025 by around 3%. The new fares will be as follows:

Pre-paid[1]

Adult      Concession
Single trip      $5.15$2.58
Daily$9.89$4.94

MyWay+[2]

Adult      Concession    School      Tertiary
Peak$3.32$1.66$1.66$1.66
Off peak$2.63$0.92$1.66$1.66
School Day$1.26$1.66
Daily cap    $9.89$4.94$4.94$4.94
Weekend Daily cap    $6.05$2.24$2.24$2.24

Since the determination sets only the maximum fare, the free concession off-peak fare and Fare-free Fridays are permitted at Transport Canberra's discretion (and don't need legislative changes to be withdrawn).

New fares take effect Saturday 4 January 2025.

Notes:
1 - Pre-paid fares from Ticket Vending Machines and tickets purchased from the MyWay+ web portal

2 - "MyWay+ smart card and approved payment devices": includes QR code from app and credit/debit cards.
