Well I though I might get away from Belconnen today so I headed to the City. I got a few interesting Pictures including one of 754, one of 986 broken down and one of the re-fronted Deanes 133. So sit back and enjoy  8)
First up my favorite Deanes Bus, a Volvo B6BLE with an Express Body #133. This bus recently received a new front which is Custom Coaches.

Next you see Mk. I Renault PR100.2 BUS 822 is seen exiting the City Bus Interchange after operating a School Run.

BUS 754, one of ACTION's driver training buses that rarely sees service is seen operating a route 39 on Marcus Clarke st.

Scania L94UB CNG with Customs CB60 bodywork is seen turning off Marcus Clarke st onto Alinga st on a route 39

Another oldie, BUS 780 is seen turning off Alinga st onto Marcus Clarke st on a route 6

Next up is one of ACTION's MAN 18.310 CNG buses. This one (BUS 388) is operating a route 300 and is turning onto Marcus Clarke st off Alinga st.

Next is the final Scania to be delivered to ACTION. BUS 373 is seen operating a route 315 to Spence.

BUS 998 is seen at Renault PR100.3, BUS 998 is seen at City West Terminus operating a route 788 it has the wrong desto on.

A bus from Voyager Coaches. The rego looks to be TV 4682. Unsure of what chassis and body it is.

And finally Renault PR180.2 BUS 986 is seen broken down at City West. The substance on the ground is coolant I believe.

Some very nice shots despite the lighting conditions.

986 has had a few problems lately!

CBRFlyer

It sure has. The mechanics were there for a while when they turned up. I am not sure whether they called for the tow truck (I doubt they would have) but if they did traffic would be hell on what ever route they used to get it back to the depot.

Buzz Killington

lol @ the thread title by the way.

If they had to tow it, it would go to Belco wouldn't it? Would be easier to go straight up Barry/Belconnen/Coulter than all the way along the parkway or adelaide ave.

Bus 400

Must be break down day today, 156 was towed back to Tuggeranong & a bus broke down at Campbell Park tonight, as well as 986.

CBRFlyer

I heard that on the radio. They were calling for the driver of the bus that broke down at Campbell Park.

Bus 400

I suspect it might of been a Belco bus of a driver I know. As she is one of the only ones out there at that time.

The radio call was:
"Could the Tuggeranong driver that broke down at Campbell Park please call base"

And I believe that when a bus breaks down it is always towed to it's base depot.

Yes, I saw 754 out in revenue service earlier this week.
Last week I had the Tuggy training bus, 752 (even older than 754 I understand) on my afternoon runs a few times; as I'm one of the last drivers to start in the afternoon during the school run peak, there are only the dregs left by the time I go to find a bus. (I'll take 752 any day in preference to the buses referred to sometimes on this Forum as the Mark 3's, ie PR100.3's).
One reason 752 is less than popular is that its radio doesn't work ... There is a new driver training course starting next week, so I suppose 752 will go back to the trainers for a while now.

Your caption for 754 is wrong. You figure out how.

I'll give a clue, where does Route 39 go?

Buzz Killington

Watson Loop from the City, as evidenced by the Watson CITY desto?

But not down Marcus Clarke Street.
I'm not quite sure what prompted Zac to say it was operating a 39, he definately knows better than that.
