My MyWay+ card finally ran out of money today, pretty impressed it took this long considering I got over 100 bus rides from just $30 (granted some buses were CNG and Irisbuses, and I have been travelling on Fridays which are free)

I have an Iris that appears to always be on my way to choir rehearsals on Tuesdays now, just too bad I can't stay on it for longer than 10 minutes... Better than nothing I suppose. I'll have to miss one though, they just went on 3 week break and the school holidays are on soon argh. (is it this week or next? I can never keep up because ANU keep changing theirs)

I've noticed some drivers do this just to avoid having to deal with passengers and/or the QR reader crap.

Note: Travelled North from Alinga Street in section (C2) at the back. Tried to depart Eloura St but after multiple door closing attempts, driver came along and found C2's door not quite fully open. He manually fully opened it, then it would shut and we could proceed. Already PA had 'slight delay' apology announcements.
Next stop, Ipima Street, the same thing again. This time the driver also opened the cabinet above the door and disabled the door shut before we departed.
The lights indicating the push button is ready for opening the door (which was now disabled) remained on, including when the LRV was moving, which latter is also abnormal.
An interesting little cameo indicating the extent of knowledge (other than actual driving) of technical aspects drivers must encompass.
It is noticeable that even minimal delays seem to generate an apology on the PA. I wonder what delay will trigger the apology. Seems like about a minute.
018 is one of the recently delivered and put into service, new battery equipped light Rail vehicles

I think I broke all of my own personal bus records today, my aim was 20 buses but I exceeded my own expectations and achieved 24 buses in 1 day. Surprisingly only 8 of my rides were what I'd consider a "bus hop", I thought I'd have to do a bit more bus hopping in the City but alas. There were so many CNGs out today, especially on the R5 (which I rode 5 times). I personally haven't seen this many CNGs out in years, nice sight to see.

I set some goals for today's travels, here's how I went.
Ride 20 buses in 1 day - achieved, rode 24 buses today.
Ride 1 Bustech from each depot in 1 day - achieved, just. I struggled to find Woden Bustechs, luckily I found 717 in Belconnen.
Ride a Yutong from each year - failed, didn't ride any Yutongs from the original batch.
Ride a bus with an All Over Advertisement - achieved, rode 462 in Gungahlin Marketplace AOA.
Ride a Yutong 857-onwards - achieved, rode 873. Was going to ride 876 but it was too out of the way.
Ride 1 of each CNG type - achieved, rode 8 L94s and 3 MAN CNGs  ;D  ;D
Ride a number series not ridden yet (ie: 56_, 69_) - achieved, rode buses from the 60_ (604) and 87_ (873) series.

Overall, a very successful day.

I feel like my bus hopping days might've exceeded that, but then again my record may be holding onto the old 300 series and not the rapids.

[Edit] Yeah looking back I'm able to see how much Rapid avoidance I tend to do. Apart from getting a vast selection of random rapids in a past year I never really get more than 4-6 of the same route in that amount of time. I can't find my 2020 book for some reason (must be in a box somewhere), but in 2017 I saw on a few days in December that I rode over a dozen 300-series routes in quick succession.

Interesting (and long) day for me today. No elements or CNGs though sadly, even though I did see plenty of them around.
