Interesting. So where did the Australian journey under its own power start, Brisbane? And they must have quite a bit of mileage on by the time they get here. Would be a tedious drive (presumably at about 8okph?).

I wonder if 895 when it arrives will get a sticker or something saying "100th Electric Bus delivered to TC", similar to what 491, 600 and Renault 897 got, that would be a nice touch.

I would suggest that possibly 899 (100th Yutong) may be the celebrated bus if at all

It's an interesting question because when I rode 840 a week after it entered service it only had 1018kms on the odometer, which is less than the roughly 1200kms from the Yutong centre in Brisbane to Canberra. Perhaps they've changed the delivery method since the start of the year or the delivery of 901 was just a one off. Although from what I know most new buses are delivered to their final destination by road.

That implies it probably came from Melbourne or Sydney, or if it had done full shifts, then by low loader,

901 was delivered 5 December and entered service on Monday (15 Dec). So that's the last of this t*****e of bus deliveries.

The VDI assembly factory is in Brisbane (near the airport), and the NSW sales dealer is in Prestons.

Once built, the buses are transported from Brisbane to Western Sydney – this is mostly done on a low loader (presumably), but on occasion the bus is driven down. Maybe at times there's not enough trucks available.

Anyway, once accepted at Sydney, they are then driven all the way to Canberra.
