2. Tuggeranong MAN 18.310 380 on route 934 in City (newest bus at the time)
3. New Murrays Coach (I love the design) in the City
4. Belconnen Renault PR180.2 Articulated 988 on route 703 at Dunlop
5. Belconnen Renault PR180.2 Articulated 983 on route 312 at Tuggeranong
6. Belconnen Renault PR180.2 Articulated 705 on route 701 at Spence

Some fantastic shots there Norbert. Love the one of 377 and the artics look great too.

I havent seen that new Murray's coach round town yet, very strange look and I'm not sure that i like it. That might change when i see it in real life though.

Simply fantastic shots! Fantabulous! Great work!

Good to see you hit the suburbs too, even made it out to my neck of the woods (Dunlop) :P

Nice to see the clean skin artic (988), and you even got photos of the "Tarago", (The Murrays Coach), as has been nicknamed by a user on this board.
Interesting, you can still see where the 3rd door used to be on 705.
And simply love the night shot of the MAN!

You must return one day to take more shots, lol!

CBRFlyer

Why did they take the center doors off the artics?

Irisbus Rider

Yeah, thats right. Apparently, there were too many mirrors, and it would be too difficult for the drivers to monitor all three doors.
But in this day and age, with CCTV, and computer screens in the dash of every bus, it's not a problem at all.

Your 'every bus' obviously doesn't include ACTION buses. We don't have any computer screens on our dash.

Sir Pompously

Well, most buses actually do contain an LCD Screen's on the dash. The MAN's do, they show what gear you are in.  Most articulated buses do as a form of safety, which have links to camera's near the doors to monitor passenger embarktion and disembarktion.

Trolleybusracer

that murrays coach is gonna kill me you can see it!!!

Irisbus Rider

lol, look out trolleybusracer, lock your doors and windows at night!
yeah, belco driver is correct, on retrospect, it hasn't yet happened for action, i'm too sydneycentric, using their artics as an example, they have a screen monitoring all of the doors. we could easily get it too. the MAN is still 'primitive' in comparison to never models, but generally speaking, we currently don't need that sort of technology.

Busnerd

Im obsessed with those MAN shots norbert....

If I can put it a request, I would love an A4 sized copy of each for my birthday :P

When I was in Geneva a few years ago the buses had several screens displaying a route map and the location of the next stop for the passengers benefit.

Irisbus Rider

Wow, thanks for that info. Good to see Australia catching up with state of the art technology from the rest of the world, namely 'The Loop' and the Metrobus.

ScaniaDriver

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll see what I can arrange Busnerd :)
